Speaker at OCA’s 50th Annual National Convention (07/14/23-07/15/23)

Spoke on two panels for college and high school students, respectively, at the 50th annual convention for OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates. OCA is civil rights organization that advances the social, political, and economic wellbeing of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs).

One panel was aimed at AAPI college students about having a career in the arts and media, and the rewards and challenges that come with that. The other was an educational panel aimed at AAPI high school students about the model minority racial project, affirmative action, and what to consider when applying for college.

My Vox explainer from January about how to get the free N95 masks the Biden administration as the omicron varient first spread throughout the US was one of the top 10 most read stories (placing ninth) for the Future Perfect section in 2022.
